Quality Inspector

About the role

The Quality Inspector, reporting to the Quality Supervisor, is responsible for ensuring quality control for all Rotork product and services.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

• Conduct inspection of goods inward components and materials in a timely manner.
• Conduct internal roving inspection.
• Raise rejections notices on suppliers.
• Convert internal rejections into supplier returns.
• Operate and maintain the internal calibration system.
• Work in an appropriate and safe manner, maintaining compliance with local health and safety procedures.
• Carry out goods inwards inspection of all bought in parts in accordance with company procedures, using as reference engineering drawings, purchase orders, or other associated specifications, either national or international.
• Perform roving inspection.
• Perform factory support inspection.
• Conduct review of documentation supplied with delivered goods against the appropriate internal or external specification.
• Conduct normal activities associated with the functional needs of a quality department, at the request of supervision.

Qualifications

• Read engineering drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of physical measurement techniques.
• Calibration experience.
• Basic understanding of machining processes.
