About the Role
As a Quality Inspector on the Operations Team, you will perform inspections of incoming supplier components and in-house manufactured products to ensure compliance with customer specifications. You will collaborate with colleagues and customer representatives to resolve quality concerns and inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and final product per work instructions and customer specifications.
- Perform dimensional and testing evaluations of components, sub-assemblies, and final product per work instructions and customer specifications.
- Create and maintain proper records of inspections, including written records and photographs.
- Support customer representatives during inspections and audits.
- Perform internal testing such as leak tests.
- Complete annual calibrations of inspection equipment.
- Prepare 1st article reports for customers.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow.
- Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements
- Competency in visual inspection using work instructions and workmanship criteria.
- Ability to use basic hand tools such as pin gages, micrometers, and calipers.
- Proficiency with measurement tools like dial indicators.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, instructions, and specifications.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 or similar Quality Systems.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good decision-making abilities.
- Experience working with Military documentation.
- Strong team contributor in a dynamic workflow environment with effective time management.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- US Citizenship.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of general inspection work experience.
