Quality Inspector

About the Role

As a Quality Inspector on the Operations Team, you will perform inspections of incoming supplier components and in-house manufactured products to ensure compliance with customer specifications. You will collaborate with colleagues and customer representatives to resolve quality concerns and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and final product per work instructions and customer specifications.
• Perform dimensional and testing evaluations of components, sub-assemblies, and final product per work instructions and customer specifications.
• Create and maintain proper records of inspections, including written records and photographs.
• Support customer representatives during inspections and audits.
• Perform internal testing such as leak tests.
• Complete annual calibrations of inspection equipment.
• Prepare 1st article reports for customers.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow.
• Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

• Competency in visual inspection using work instructions and workmanship criteria.
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as pin gages, micrometers, and calipers.
• Proficiency with measurement tools like dial indicators.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, instructions, and specifications.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 or similar Quality Systems.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good decision-making abilities.
• Experience working with Military documentation.
• Strong team contributor in a dynamic workflow environment with effective time management.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• US Citizenship.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of general inspection work experience.
