Essential Duties of the Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift
- Perform dimensional inspections of components using conventional measuring equipment, machines, and indicators.
- Utilize advanced measurement technologies such as Laser Tracker, Faro Arm, and Photogrammetry systems to verify compliance with engineering requirements.
- Inspect components for compliance with engineering drawings and planning documents.
- Interpret engineering drawings and inspection plans to ensure accurate measurements and documentation.
- Identify and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspection processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure components meet technical specifications and quality standards.
Education & Skills Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of industrial experience as a journeyman machinist or machine operator required.
- Minimum of three (3) additional years of industrial experience working as a Quality Control Inspector required.
- Ability to think and visualize in three dimensions.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and planning documents.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to identify common ASME Y14.5 GD&T symbols and terms including datums, basic dimensions, tolerance zones, MMC/LMC, and RFS.
- Ability to read feature control frames (FCFs) and understand datum reference structures (A|B|C).

Additional Information
