About the role

As a Quality Inspector at Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will be responsible for completing in-process and final inspection of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Responsibilities

  • Inspect electronic assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering documents, work instructions, customer specifications, and industry standards.
  • Verify conformance and write nonconformance reports when discrepancies are found.
  • Verify rework/repair has been completed in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Report inspections and move product in the proper system.
  • Stamp/sign off on inspection steps upon completion, approving and releasing the product for shipment.
  • Interface with production and engineering on production and product problems.
  • Assist production by providing explanations and/or instructions on quality issues and production issues.
  • Work closely with quality engineering and manufacturing engineering to improve the process and design for manufacturability.
  • Spot audit in the production area to ensure that the proper instructions are being followed and provide feedback to management to improve the process/system.
  • Work closely with engineering on engineering builds and prototypes to point out potential production, quality, and reliability problems.
  • Assist management with implementing process controls, improvement activities, writing work instructions, and inspection instructions.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of IPC-A-610.
  • Proficient ability to utilize a PC and the Microsoft Office Suite software package.
  • Ability to read prints.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Able to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective written and spoken communications skills.
  • ISO9001 and AS9100 training, preferred.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools/gauges.
  • Must be able to use a microscope.

Pay

This position is paid on an hourly basis and is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan. This is an onsite position located in West Chester, OH (or nearby Cincinnati or Hamilton, OH).
