About the role
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and identifying any non-conforming products, ensuring that all items meet the predefined criteria before they move forward in the production process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections using work instructions, checklists, and technical drawings as guidelines.
- Prioritize inspection tasks as directed by the Operations Supervisors to support efficient workflow and achieve departmental goals.
- Identify and document non-conforming products through Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to ensure quality control.
- Verify that all NCRs are resolved before finalizing product inspections.
- Utilize precision and non-precision gauges, meters, and tools to assess product conformity against acceptance criteria.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in quality processes and familiarity with Quality Management Systems is preferred.
- Experience in using precision measurement tools for metal fabrication is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating various precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and hardness testers.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting with multiple departments.
- Familiarity with interpreting and applying Quality System/ISO procedures.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Adept at learning and operating a wide range of test and measurement equipment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a solid understanding of math and geometry.
- Competency in using personal computers, including Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel.
Pay
$18 - $26 / hr
