Quality Inspector
About the role
The PCMM Technician position is available in Huntsville, Alabama, a city known for its contributions to American space and defense programs. This role is within Leidos’ Defense Systems sector, which provides a wide range of systems, solutions, and services for customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Inspect large scale parts at various stages of machining using Romer arms, Laser trackers, or scanners (handheld or blue light).
- Document non-conforming material as required.
- Provide concise feedback to machinists and engineers based on data collection.
- Maintain all measurement equipment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED with 2-4 or more years of relevant experience.
- Fluent with standard measurement equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, intra micrometers, optical comparators, etc.
- Experience using Romer Arm, AS1 Scanner, Leica AT960 Laser Tracker, Leica AT402 Laser Tracker, or CMM.
- Prior experience with Spatial Analyzer or similar PCMM software.
- Proficient in GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009.
- Experience executing or witnessing test procedures and generating test reports.
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications to prepare handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
- Shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inspection of complex aerospace hardware, non-conforming material, Material Review Board (MRB), review/creation of Acceptance Data Packs / First Article Inspection.
- Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first article inspection.
- Able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.

Pay
The pay range for this job level is $50,700.00 - $91,650.00. Additional factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements (if any), or other law, may affect the actual compensation offered.
