About the Role
The Quality Inspector will perform inspections of machined components, assemblies, and castings to support receiving inspection, validations, and process improvement activities. Responsibilities include open set-up inspections using a variety of inspection equipment and visual standards, as well as supporting Operator Certification initiatives throughout the facility. Mechanical inspection and daily use of GD&T and blueprint reading skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of machined components, assemblies, and castings.
- Conduct open set-up inspections using inspection equipment and visual standards.
- Support Operator Certification initiatives across the facility.
- Perform mechanical inspections.
- Utilize GD&T and blueprint reading skills daily.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing background.
- 0-2 years of inspection experience in a precision machining and/or casting environment.
- Excellent written, oral communication, organization, and computer skills.
Preferred Skills
- Medical Device inspection experience.
- Blueprint interpretation skills and working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics.
- ASQ Certification.
- Optical Comparators experience.
- CMM operating experience.
Pay
$27 per hour
