Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking a Quality Inspector in San Antonio, TX to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Read and understand civil construction drawings
- Interpret and understand contract specifications and local codes
- Interact with crews and client representatives to ensure work meets contract requirements
- Perform field equipment audits
- Write detailed daily reports
- Perform daily inspection and checklists on work in the field
- Adhere to Herzog’s safety policies, report violations, and maintain required safety certifications
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation, and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- High level of concentration and attention to detail
- Ability to focus on a defined task for extended period of time
- Previous experience as a heavy civil inspector desired
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver’s license with required endorsements
- Ability to pass pre‑employment background check, motor vehicle report review, physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen
- Ability to complete and maintain required safety certifications and testing annually
- Physical capability to perform light work (occasionally up to 20 lbs), walk on uneven surfaces, ascend/descend ladders/stairs, sit/stand for extended periods, kneel, bend, squat, hear auditory signals, work in loud noise around heavy machinery, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
