Quality Inspector

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies and finished company products according to defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
• Rework, teardown or reject subassemblies or finished products as required.
• Conduct document process and system audits using written procedures.
• Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
• Review and generate scrap defective tags.
• Problem solving.
• Continuous improvement activities.
• Variety of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One to Two years of manufacturing experience with an understanding of competencies.
• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of AITF16949 quality standards.
• Working knowledge of measurement equipment.
• Problem Solving.
• Perform sorts, audits or rework products.
• Knowledge of product and processes.
• Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks as required.
• Ability to work effectively with people.

Physical Demands

• Regularly works in a manufacturing environment.
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Requires very frequent visual effort and concentration.
• The employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• The work requires regular standing, walking, bending, lifting and a variety of physical activities.
