Quality Inspector
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector monitors, evaluates and executes audits of assigned operations to ensure compliance with customer’s policies, processes and procedures. Ensures the collection of quality data and analyses of that data to identify trends and monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Management Plan.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and provides quality inspections for all assigned utilities/facilities/areas.
- Inspects completed and in-progress work orders to ensure compliance with the Quality Management Plan and contract requirements.
- Completes necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings.
- Prepare and submit the monthly Quality Inspection and Surveillance Report as required.
- This report shall include the summary and results of the quality inspection and surveillance events performed and assessment-driven corrective actions and process adjustments during the previous month.
- Helps maintain Maximo, its associated databases and update as required.
- Affords assistance in monitoring the performance of subcontractors.
- Plans and organizes work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Maintains effective working relationships with end customer to meet the mission objectives of the contract.
- Keeps Quality Manager apprised of any unique situations and problems encountered.
- Communicates with NAVFAC PAR on a regular basis to understand and discuss concerns and issues associated with performance of contract.
- Performs audits and inspections of internal processes and controls to ensure they comply with standards and customer requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five (5) years of relevant experience
- Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software
- Proficient with Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software
- Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
