Quality Inspector

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our dedicated team in Kinston, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting in-process and completed products for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.

Responsibilities

• Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical/mechanical assemblies, and subassemblies.
• Accepts or rejects defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
• Makes measurements using various measuring devices.
• Maintains quality records and supports the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process.
• Cross-trains in the Assembly Technician function or functions supported.
• Completes other duties as required by leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in quality inspection preferred.
• Knowledge of CATIA and other relevant software.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, standing, and walking.
