Quality Inspector
About the role
Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our dedicated team in Kinston, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting in-process and completed products for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
Responsibilities
- Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical/mechanical assemblies, and subassemblies.
- Accepts or rejects defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Makes measurements using various measuring devices.
- Maintains quality records and supports the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process.
- Cross-trains in the Assembly Technician function or functions supported.
- Completes other duties as required by leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in quality inspection preferred.
- Knowledge of CATIA and other relevant software.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, standing, and walking.
