Quality Inspector - 3RD SHIFT

About the role
The Quality Inspector performs first piece, in-process inspections, and final inspections of components and assemblies per control/quality plans. The Quality Inspector will review and approve final release documentation and perform incoming inspections for received materials. This role completes appropriate quality records within company and GMP guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Shift: 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Sunday–Thursday).
Responsibilities
- Inspect received materials, components, and assemblies for quality, appearance, and performance.
- Interpret and accurately document inspection and testing results.
- Report and isolate non-conforming product.
- Use inspection measurement tools and gages (micrometer, caliper, gage pins, indicators, thread gages, profilometer, optical comparator, microscopes).
- Operate precision testing equipment including Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems.
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
- Partner with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance teams.
- Understand customer needs and core business markets.
- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
- Participate in required company meetings.
- Maintain an organized work area (5S).
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program.
- Complete all other assigned work duties.
- Work in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance.
- Ability to read and comprehend customer-supplied drawings and specifications.
- Communicate inspection results with team members.
- Manage multiple requirements and deadlines.
- Shift priorities quickly to support production inspection needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience with measuring instruments, methods, and practices, including hand tools and machine devices such as CMM and Vision Systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
Skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485.
- Quality training/certifications (preferred).
Pay
Pay range: USD $18.22 – USD $27.84 per hour.
Pay range details:
- Quality Inspector I: $18.22 – $25.53 per hour.
- Quality Inspector II: $19.86 – $27.84 per hour.
This position is eligible for shift differential.
