About the Role

The Quality Inspector conducts receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace engine components to verify conformance with design requirements and customer specifications. This role is a 1st shift position with core hours of 7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F, and is located in Glenolden, PA.

What You'll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement equipment
  • Use knowledge of measurement systems and techniques including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Be familiar with the requirements of ISO9001 and AS9100
  • Interact with co-workers and customer representative
  • Perform verification inspection of Eaton's supplier's detailed components
  • Perform verification inspection of Eaton's product for compliance to customer's requirements
  • Assist customer source inspectors as required
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other precision inspection equipment
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, understand and apply GD&T requirements, and evaluate product characteristics against aerospace standards and specifications
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing and/or military environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience reading and interpreting blueprints
  • This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random testing under our Drug and Alcohol Abatement program

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Technical Degree in a related field from an accredited institution (preferred)
  • Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machine use, programming ability is preferred

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Surface plate lay-out
  • Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Inspection equipment programming
  • Basic computer skills
  • Coordinate Measurement Machine use, programming ability is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparator, thread gauge, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation

Schedule

1st shift with core hours of 7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.
