Quality Inspector-12 Hour Day & Night Shifts

About the role

Technipaq is a family‑owned company serving the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industry since 1984. Operating over 100,000 sq ft across three manufacturing and warehouse facilities, the company produces laminated, slit, die‑cut, and flexographically printed pouches, lids, and roll stock from foil, film, Tyvek, and paper laminates.

Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector is key to performing routine checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of materials, goods in‑process, and finished goods to keep productivity at peak levels 24 hours a day. They report to the Quality Manager and interact with all levels of the company to ensure customer specifications and quality guidelines are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1 + year previous Quality Inspector experience in a production environment, flexible packaging industry preferred OR 1 + year experience as a Machine Operator in a production environment performing quality checks
• Knowledge of quality assurance, familiarity with manufacturing equipment, processes and environments, and ability to read and understand product specifications
• Fluent spoken and understood English; able to read and write English to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports
• Ability to measure and interpret measurements up to 1/16 inch using rulers
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds without help
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, walk, stand, push, and sit throughout the entire shift
• Near vision, mid‑range vision, data entry, keyboarding, talking, hearing, and detailed hand work

Schedule

All shifts are at the Crystal Lake location.

• B Shift: 6:00 am – 6:30 pm; Week 1 – Sun/W/Th; Week 2 – M/T/F/Sat
• C Shift: 6:00 pm – 6:30 am; Sun/M/T and every other Wednesday
