Quality Inspector 1 $27.29-$30.19

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement standard quality procedures.
• Perform standardized dimensional, mechanical, and visual inspection of subassemblies, finished and semi-finished components, and parts for size, correct material, finish, appearance, and other pertinent requirements.
• Devise routine dimensional gauging set-ups, complete reports and rejection slips, and record data to Crosby specifications.
• Plan and perform a sequence of inspection operations using all types of measuring apparatus such as micrometers, verniers, height and depth comparators, and air gages.
• Perform first piece part, bench, and periodic inspections as necessary within the limits of standard practice.
• Refer all questionable cases to the Inspection Supervisor.
• Report reasons for defects or malfunctions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years working in a manufacturing/quality environment.
• Familiarity with tools needed for inspection.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years working in a quality control position.
• Previous experience with micrometers, verniers, or other inspection tools.
• MS Office skills.
