About the role

The Quality Inspection Supervisor oversees inspection and testing of products to ensure compliance with specified standards. This role involves managing a team of quality control inspectors, documenting inspection outcomes, creating Quality Alerts and sorting instructions, and training quality control inspectors.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the Quality Inspection Team.
  • Inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Document inspection outcomes and maintain accurate records.
  • Create and distribute Quality Alerts when applicable.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor quality control inspectors.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of quality control processes.
  • Fill in for inspectors when there are absences.
  • Work with the Quality Engineering team to complete Corrective Actions and solve customer complaints.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a quality control or assurance role.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control or a related role.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement techniques, tolerances, and inspection methods.
  • Knowledge of Gauge R&R, MSA, GD&T, and Layered Process Audits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
