Join Our Team as a Technical Leader in the Field
What You'll Do
- Serve as the industry expert for a focused application or product line.
- Lead IFM system installations, setup, and commissioning at customer locations.
- Provide field service support, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Train technicians on basic and advanced maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Respond to customer questions and technical inquiries regarding equipment and services.
- Prepare quotes, scopes of work, and final service reports.
- Participate in product demonstrations alongside the sales team in the field.
- Support the development and implementation of IFM, repair, and maintenance service contracts.
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and technician assignments.
- Identify and assist with special projects and service initiatives.
- Maintain demonstration equipment, including testing, tracking, and storage.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors for service and repair support.
- Document work performed and maintain service records in company systems.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience in skilled trades or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a focused application or product line.
- 3+ years of experience in Finishing or General Industry environments.
- Proven experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and electronics.
- Ability to lead and mentor technicians in the field.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical documents, safety procedures, and operating manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and logistics coordination abilities.
- Familiarity with 5S principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Comfortable using computer systems to document service work and equipment records.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including occasional overnight travel.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and general safety practices.
- Ability to work in environments that may include:
- Moving mechanical parts
- Electrical equipment
- Paint chemicals and solvents
- Fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
