Quality Improvement Advisor 2

Full-time position, primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

About the Role

The Quality Improvement Advisor II leads and supports data-driven, service line–aligned performance improvement initiatives that advance the organization’s priorities in quality, safety, access, and value-based care. This role partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to translate performance data and regulatory requirements into actionable, sustainable improvement strategies, ensuring measurable results across priority service lines and populations. The position applies improvement science, analytics, and change management within the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) framework to advance outcomes, reduce variation, enhance patient experience, and optimize performance across internal goals, regulatory requirements, and external benchmarks. The advisor embeds accreditation and regulatory standards into all improvement efforts, ensuring ongoing alignment with federal, state, and accreditation requirements. The role leads data-driven quality assurance monitoring and performance improvement initiatives, including identification of gaps and development of corrective action plans to sustain compliance and drive measurable improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support data-driven performance improvement initiatives aligned with service lines.
• Partner with clinical and operational leaders to translate data and regulatory requirements into actionable strategies.
• Apply improvement science, analytics, and change management within the QAPI framework.
• Ensure alignment with federal, state, and accreditation requirements in improvement efforts.
• Identify gaps and develop corrective action plans to sustain compliance and drive measurable improvement.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in healthcare regulatory, compliance, quality improvement, analytics, accreditation, infection prevention, emergency preparedness, clinical operations, or education (required).
• Demonstrated experience using data to drive measurable performance improvement (required).
• Working knowledge of Lean or equivalent healthcare quality methodologies, patient safety principles, high reliability, and healthcare regulatory requirements (required).
• Progressive leadership experience (preferred).
• Experience supporting service line–based improvement in acute care, ambulatory, or population health settings (preferred).
• Experience in value-based care, population health, or equity-focused improvement initiatives (preferred).
• Proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, EHR reporting tools) (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or relevant healthcare field (required).
• Master’s degree in nursing, business, or other healthcare or quality/process improvement-related field (preferred).
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (required).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred).

Pay

Starting wage for this exempt position: $90,084.80–$123,864.00, depending on experience.
