Essential Functions
- Conduct Internal Audits (System; Process; and Product audits); Communicate results to Supervisors and Quality Manager
- Contributes to receiving product inspection
- Support Production Team to provide guidance (as needed)
- Support Engineering Team in Tool Trials (as needed)
- Participate in Supplier and Customer problem solving activity (as needed)
- Lead and participate in Quality Containment actions (as needed)
- Production floor audits, including process books, gaging of parts, internal sorting.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities to be assigned by Quality Manager.
- Participate in and support Plant-wide Clean; Organized; Safe (5S) initiatives
Responsibility & Authority
- Sort and inspect parts in the pack and scan department
- Scan the shipping labels to verify they match the production labels
- Perform the Quality Receiving Inspections
- Stop the manufacturing process if the result does not produce a quality part within specifications
- Stop the manufacturing process if there are any safety concerns (and notify management immediately)
- Quarantine or recommend "stop-ship" of products that do not meet quality requirements
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in quality control or inspection. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Must possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
