This role provides vital operational and administrative support to the Quality Department, focusing on organizing and maintaining accurate quality documentation and inspecting finished products.
Responsibilities
- Review and organize paperwork for First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and Acceptance Test Plans (ATPs) to ensure accuracy.
- Act as a Product Release Delegate (DPRV) to inspect finished parts and authorize their shipment to customers.
- Coordinate and prepare paperwork for customer and government inspections at the facility.
- Support incoming inspection or assembly departments with part inspections or production assistance as needed.
- Enter quality information, test results, and records into computer systems accurately.
- Assist the Quality team with organizing files, scanning documents, and managing quality actions using software.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (a 2-year Associate’s degree or technical certificate is a plus).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or office environment.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings, blueprints, or technical schematics.
- Experience with paperwork, checklists, or instructions in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or other basic databases.
- Good eyesight (with or without correction) for inspecting small parts and reading documents.
- Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR (US Citizenship or Resident Alien Status).
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a Quality Department or as a Quality Inspector/Technician.
- Knowledge of aerospace, military, or defense manufacturing environments.
- Certifications such as DPRV, IPC-620, or J-STD-001.
- Experience with ERP software (e.g., Fourth Shift) or manufacturing tracking systems.
- Problem-solving skills in a team environment to resolve quality issues.
