About the role

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Quality Engineering Technician IV - 1st Shift. The hours for this role are 7am-3:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $30.50 - $35.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Quality Engineering on supporting the Actuation Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Interface with other employees including Management, Manufacturing Operations, and Engineering, as well as third party personnel such as Customers, Registrars, and Suppliers (as needed).
  • Periodically help lead multidiscipline teams to assist in bringing systemic issues to closure.
  • Support day-to-day quality tasks such as generating production quality metrics, documenting issues, assembling customer data packs, supporting problem investigations, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Interpret and apply relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (e.g., ISO, AS, AMS, ASTM, etc.) when required as part of tasks.
  • Support regulatory and agency inspections, audits, investigations, and inquiries regarding the control and assessment of product design and manufacturing quality.
  • Review the adequacy and correctness of changes to Procedures, Documents, Component Specification, FMEAs, Control Plans, as applicable.
  • Aid in the development of measurement methods and quality requirements for purchased and manufactured products.
  • Aid in the timely disposition of non-conforming materials, maintain compliance to necessary regulatory requirements, and ensure adequacy of corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence, as applicable.
  • Participate in Corrective Action activities, including analysis of data and trends in complaints, supplier quality, nonconforming material, training effectiveness, and root causes analysis.
  • Work with Suppliers, Management, Engineers, and Manufacturing in the resolution of quality problems.

Qualifications

  • Required (Basic): Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Associate's degree in a technical discipline with at least 1 year experience of manufacturing experience, or High School diploma/GED with at least 5 years of related mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements. Basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), First Article Inspection (FAI), AS9102, AS9100, PowerBI, Experience in problem solving techniques (5 Why, 8D), Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
