About the role
The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for identifying and resolving quality issues in vehicle manufacturing. They lead root cause investigations, develop and implement audit plans, and drive containment and corrective actions across production, design, and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Lead root cause investigations
- Develop and implement audit plans
- Drive containment and corrective actions across production, design, and suppliers
- Support training for technicians
- Analyze high failure data
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality, cost, and manufacturing processes
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in failure analysis, manufacturing, or quality roles
- Knowledge of quality standards such as QS-9000, ISO/TS16949
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools like FMEA, SPC, and DoE
- Proficiency in mechanical drawings
- Strong communication skills
- Technical knowledge in programming languages like SQL and Python (preferred)
Requirements
The candidate must be physically capable of demanding tasks, including extended standing, lifting, and working safely with PPE.
