Controls Engineering Technician, Cybercab, Assembly

What You'll Do

• Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (SIEMENS) and VFD’s (Siemens and SEW), utilizing ladder logic and structured text
• Perform corrective maintenance by searching for error codes inside of the electrical panel for electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase
• Troubleshoot or repairs within the PROFINET Network, motors and servo breaks
• Utilize SCADA for display reporting for production metrics, assign IP address to any new device and configure to local network/plant network
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on all industrial production equipment such as checking functionality of all input devices and replacing if necessary
• Operate and repair any conveyance equipment during scheduled and unplanned downtime
• Order parts, supplies and equipment from catalogues/suppliers or obtain them from storerooms, log all info inside of the computer system and share with the receiving shift

What You'll Bring

• 5 years or more years of experience working in a controls technician/engineer role on production manufacturing equipment and/or have equivalent training or relevant education
• Must be willing to learn factory specific programming standard for PLC, Robots and VFD’s
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or 5S methodologies
• Experience with data analysis and use of tools such as Excel
• Advanced computer proficiency with the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new software applications across diverse platforms
