Quality Engineering Assistant
About the role
This position is available for a skilled Quality Engineering Assistant who will ensure compliance of manufactured electronics assemblies to industry leading manufacturing standards, facilitate AS9102 FAI processes, and coordinate audit activities in a world-class electronics manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of Manufactured Electronics Assemblies to Industry leading manufacturing Standards
- Facilitation of AS9102 FAI processes
- Coordination of Audit Activities
- Aid in improving inspection mentorship
- Ensure highest levels of process compliance
- Aid the manufacturing teams with early identification of potential quality concerns
- Qualifying Inspection personnel and maintaining inspection stamp database
- Mentorship of shop floor inspectors
- Completion of First Article Inspections (FAI) in compliance with AS9102
- Daily production floor support
- Assisting Quality Engineers with projects, investigations, root cause/corrective actions etc.
- Ensure process compliance to Internal and external standards such as: AS9100/ISO9001:2015 and Navigation Sensor Systems (NSS) Workmanship Standards for Electronic Assemblies
- Interact with Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to communicate and resolve issues identified from inspection
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate with management, peers and touch labor within the company
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
- Use of inspection equipment (e.g., microscopes, calipers, gauges etc)
- Possess effective written and verbal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Preferred
- 1+ years of related experience
- Inspection of circuit card and sub assembly experience
- Understanding of Solder Acceptance Criteria (NSS Workmanship Standards, IPC or other)
- Ability to problem solve
- Oracle experience
- Ability to work as a team and independently
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $43285 - $69256
