About the role
PAR Systems is a world leader in the design and development of cutting-edge software, automation, and control systems in various industries. We are seeking a high-performing Quality Engineer - NQA-1 to support our company in delivering high-quality products and systems that meet customer, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Support project quality planning, including contract/spec review, and ensure all deliverables meet NQA-1, customer, and internal standards
- Participate in design reviews and develop inspection/test plans and quality documentation to ensure requirements are clearly defined and met
- Manage nonconformances and corrective actions (CARs/SCARs), including tracking, root cause analysis, and timely resolution
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with suppliers to resolve quality issues impacting project execution
- Conduct audits, support customer/regulatory reviews, maintain compliant quality records, and analyze data to drive continuous improvement
Success Criteria
- Ensure quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle, from early planning through execution and final deliverables, by applying practical quality engineering methods that keep projects aligned with requirements
- Apply a diverse range of quality assurance practices to drive meaningful improvements in processes and systems
- Support projects through activities such as contract and specification review, inspection planning, nonconformance management, and corrective action implementation
- Work closely with project teams to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined, understood, and executed
- Bring a deep understanding of government and industry quality codes, standards, and regulations as a trusted advisor and compliance expert
- Lead audits, support supplier quality programs, and conduct detailed compliance checks
- Develop innovative solutions where others see roadblocks, elevating quality standards and addressing challenges head-on

Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Quality Engineering or related concentration preferred
- Experience in Quality may be considered in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience
- Direct working knowledge and experience with NQA-1 is preferred
- Experience with nonconformance management, corrective actions, and quality documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project priorities
- Strong communication skills

Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $90,000-110,000 annually.
