Quality Engineer Manager - Mobile Apps (contract)

About the role

Lead quality engineering efforts for mobile app projects within an innovative, in-house technology team.

Responsibilities

• Drive automated testing strategies, balancing speed, quality, and risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including App Dev, DevOps, Product, and Design.
• Build and lead high-performing teams through clear expectations, feedback, and hands-on testing guidance.
• Develop and implement quality automation plans aligned with the software development lifecycle.
• Track, report, and analyze quality metrics to ensure platform deliverables meet standards.
• Promote a culture of ownership, candor, and accountability.

Requirements

• 5+ years in technology, with at least 3 years in Quality Automation and management.
• Expertise in automated testing methodologies (API, Unit, Snapshot, Functionality, Component).
• Proficiency with Jira, Xray, Charles Proxy, Git, and understanding of AI impacts on mobile tech.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work hybrid near Dallas or Memphis and willingness to travel up to 10%.
