About the role
Vitu is transforming the way vehicles, businesses, government, and drivers interact with one another through innovative Vehicle-to-Government (V2Gov) technology. Our platform manages titling and registration transactions in all 50 states, reimagining how drivers, businesses, and governments interact with vehicles. The Quality Engineer II will develop automated testing strategies and implement them in industry-standard testing frameworks, providing expertise and oversight while advising on emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Understand challenges faced by delivery and operations teams and partner with them to design viable solutions.
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces to enhance effectiveness and reduce technical debt.
- Own the testing automation strategy, test data management strategy, and test automation framework architecture.
- Develop new or maintain existing test automation frameworks for supported applications.
- Write, debug, and execute code used in automated testing efforts.
- Coordinate regression test automation activities across supported applications.
- Define, implement, and manage processes and best practices for automated testing.
- Establish processes to review and select manual test cases for automation test suites.
- Provide metrics on business process and code coverage for automated test suites.
- Present test results to stakeholders.
- Partner with feature developers and other automation engineers to build tools and infrastructure ensuring production code is thoroughly tested.
- Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.
- Mentor less experienced software test engineers with technical guidance and oversight.
- Stay up to date on new testing technologies and best practices, sharing insights with the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of industry-related professional experience and education.
- 2-3 years of working experience in software development and/or testing.
- Working experience in automated testing frameworks, ideally Robot Framework.
- Working experience with Selenium.
- Working experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and databases.
- Working experience with regulatory standards testing processes.
- Working experience with scripting and configuration tools.
- Working knowledge of delivering products in an engineering, operations, or release role.
- Working knowledge of development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, iterative).
- Working knowledge in analysis, design, and programming.
Pay
The hourly rate range for this position is $33.60 - $40.80. The final pay will be determined by factors including location, education, experience, training, and skills.
