Quality Engineer II, (Onsite)

Location: Burnsville, Minnesota (Onsite)

About the Role

The Production Quality Engineer is the primary support engineer for production support, new product introduction, and value stream support. As the focal quality representative within operations and value stream integrated product teams, you will drive quality initiatives and problem-solving efforts.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis, Apollo) and statistical tools to resolve quality issues.
• Support supplier quality management to achieve best-in-class supplier performance in quality, delivery, and service.
• Participate in new product development and launch phases (e.g., APQP, Stride) using tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage Capability, Process Capability, and Process Flow.
• Maintain and support Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS/EN9100, ISO-9001) and customer-specific certification programs, including audit preparation and corrective actions.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Mistake Proofing) to drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze Cost of Quality reports to identify opportunities for waste reduction and improvement.
• Solve problems of limited scope and complexity within the production environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (unless prohibited by local laws/regulations).
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) per AS9145 and/or AS13100.
• Experience with the 8D process and corrective action plan reviews.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as RCCA, PPAP, and MPR.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD. The final offer considers factors such as experience, location, education, and key skills. Eligible employees may also receive annual short-term/long-term incentive compensation based on individual, business unit, and company performance.
