About the role
Responsible for all activities involving quality compliance and adherence with all applicable RECARO, Customer, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conducts systems audits, provide coaching regarding process and product audits internally.
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Develop coaching material regarding standards and regulations for all key stakeholders.
- Lead corrective actions to address noncompliant product and process issues.
- Lead and facilitate response and resolution to critical and/or immediate noncompliant situations.
- Train, coach, and mentor site and departments quality personnel in aerospace industry, customer specific, and RECARO quality system requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to address customers concerns from containment through the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
- Provide solutions and coaching to ensure successful resolution of quality issues.
- Suggest and implement new and improved methods for continual improvement of quality and production systems.
- Act as RECARO representative for industry steering meetings.
- Identify quality requirements within the customer program and resolve non compliances.
- Liaise for active flow down of customer requirements between program team and quality teams throughout the program value stream.
- Ensure timely completion of program launch deliverables.
- Ensure customer requirements are understood and communicated to the departments.
- Assist departments in implementing and sustaining compliant systems.
- Support APQP/launch support, current quality performance, and warranty cost reduction efforts on assigned programs.
- Participate in warranty part reviews.
- Support problem solving at both the site and department level.
- Properly document and make PPAP submissions.
- Align APQP/Control Plans, DFMEA/PFMEAs, and Measurement System Analysis.
- Implement Statistical Process Control Requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering) is required.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements.
- Knowledge of FAA and Aerospace OEM requirements is preferred.
- Working knowledge of risk management tools.
- Background in product and process control methods.
- Working knowledge of statistical process control.
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and production processes.
- Project Management experience desired.
- Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
Skills
- MS Office.
- ERP tools (SAP preferred).
- Statistical data analysis software (Minitab, Sigma XL, etc.).
Qualifications
- RAB-QSA Lead Auditor Certification in AS9100 quality management systems or ASQ CQE certification is desirable.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification desired.
- PMP Certification desired.
