Quality Engineer II - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

About the role
This Operations Quality Engineer II position manages the execution of Quality Assurance for daily production operations as well as continuous improvement activities for the Electric Power System Business Unit in Rockford, IL. This position ensures Quality Assurance is understood, executed, and compliant for internal and external customers.
Schedule: 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role to identify Root Cause and Corrective Action for any internal escapes or turn backs that affect production flow and provide direct support to the Program Quality team towards customer escape resolution.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement throughout an assembly environment.
- Create and manage control plans to ensure proper identification of KPIs as well as control of the assembly process.
- Work in partnership with internal producer sites to implement and monitor proactive quality initiatives like RTX Zero.
- Utilize corporate data streams to identify and report trends as well as improvement progress to the management team.
- Work in a multifunctional value stream.
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Engineering/Other Technical Positions: bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Experience in creation and maintenance of Quality documents.
- Experience in customer-facing Quality initiatives.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
