Responsibilities

  • Operate and program Faro Arm CMM with Polyworks software.
  • Program CMM using PC-DMIS software, particularly offline.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on CMM machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Measure dimensions of components and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
  • Read and write CMM reports accurately.
  • Develop work instructions for CMM setup and operation for various programs.
  • Use calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and various other hand tools.
  • Absolutely ensure accuracy and precision in measurements for sample layouts and production for first piece and dimensional checks.
  • Assist the Quality Director in dimensional inspection of products for PPAPs and investigations.
  • Collect and analyze data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, and gauge R&R.
  • Review acceptance criteria defined by customer documents to ensure appropriate inspection methods and identify and document any drawing/specification errors.
  • Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval.
  • Assist the Quality Director in defining and delivering responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Expertise in operating and programming Faro Arm CMM using Polyworks software.
  • Experience in programming CMM using PC-DMIS software, particularly offline.
  • Ability to mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on CMM machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Proficiency in measuring dimensions of components and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
  • Ability to read and write CMM reports accurately.
  • Experience in developing work instructions for CMM setup and operation for various programs.
  • Knowledge of using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and various other hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy and precision in measurements for sample layouts and production for first piece and dimensional checks.
  • Experience in assisting the Quality Director in dimensional inspection of products for PPAPs and investigations.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, and gauge R&R.
  • Experience in reviewing acceptance criteria defined by customer documents to ensure appropriate inspection methods and identifying and documenting any drawing/specification errors.
  • Experience in compiling and submitting First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval.
  • Experience in assisting the Quality Director in defining and delivering responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr.
