Quality Engineer

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Oversight and direction of quality activities including capability studies, dimensional checks, material testing, product inspection, print changes, and process/product documentation.
• Providing quality support to internal and external customers.
• Documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment.
• Coordination of the completion of all quality function tasks and resolution of all quality issues in a timely and robust manner.
• Technical support to the customer for new product introduction projects.
• Ensuring product meets customer engineering standards.
• Leading the plant in customer satisfaction, PPM reduction, and quality system development.

Qualifications Desired

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technology or engineering related discipline.
• Automotive industry experience.
• At least 2 years of similar experience in a quality engineer related role.
• Experience with SAP and strategic uses of Excel.
• Plastics experience is a plus.
• Injection/blow mold experience is a plus.
• Highly motivated, effective communicator with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and efficiently.
