Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Cook up the resolution of customer complaints, aiming for containment, root cause identification, prevention, sustainable outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor, gather, analyze, and interpret customer data to spot issues, patterns, and chances for enhancement.
• Pinpoint quality requirements, craft and execute the PQP via AQP, and drive Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and implement Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
• Assess the efficacy and durability of RCCA.
• Operate as a Lead Auditor to help management appraise the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Perform Process Audits as per the PQP or the QMS.
• Train other EAS employees or suppliers and act as a Subject Matter Expert in Core Quality Tools, AQP, RCCA, and CQI.
• Take, propose, or delegate actions to tackle quality dilemmas through RCCA or CQI.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED, accompanied by at least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or construction industry, with three (3) years in quality assurance, quality control, or quality auditing.
• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business discipline, particularly Business Administration, Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, is preferred.

Skills

• Profound understanding of AQP (or APQP), Core Quality Tools, and RCCA.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing or construction processes.
• Proficiency in analytical tools like Six Sigma, Shainin, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong computing skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace applications, BIM 360, bug reporting tools, statistical software, and Power BI.
• The ability to lead with influence through coaching, teaching, and managing expectations.
• The capacity to orchestrate multiple projects, individuals, and departments.
• A working comprehension of ISO 9001 or AISC.
