About the role

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is a Fortune 1,000 Company listed on the NYSE (VSH). This full-time, on-site position in Yankton, SD is responsible for developing, evaluating, revising, and applying technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items comply with company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis, identifies trends, and recommends corrective actions.

Yankton is situated in Southeast South Dakota on the banks of the Missouri River and minutes from Lewis and Clark Lake, offering a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Define and specify quality criteria, test equipment, methods, and inspection requirements.
• Maintain liaison between departments (Engineering, Inspection, and Production) to coordinate product quality and process efficiency.
• Develop product and process performance measurements, including generating monthly quality reports for management review and performing trend analysis of quality data.
• Generate special quality reports for customers.
• Handle and review corrective actions, determine responsibility, and assign for completion.
• Assist in ISO-9001 and IATF 16949 audits.
• Review procurement documents for adequate delineation of quality requirements to vendors and for adequate Receiving Inspection instructions.
• Seek areas of refinement for materials and methods to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Assist with quality surveys by customer or government teams, requiring intimate knowledge of existing quality systems.
• Occasionally travel to customers to resolve quality issues and to other Vishay facilities to assist in internal audits and develop standardized procedures.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience with quality specifications such as ISO-9001 and IATF 16949.
• Must be a US Person (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
