Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Assist with inspection and testing of materials and finished products under the guidance of experienced Quality Technicians
- Learn to use measuring tools and quality equipment (e.g., scales, calipers, gauges, pi-tape)
- Support documentation of test results and data entry into quality records
- Observe and assist with in-process and visual inspections on the production floor
- Maintain organized and compliant workspaces in accordance with 6S principles
- Support identification and reporting of non-conforming materials or processes
- Absorb and summarize quality findings
- Participate in training programs and work toward proficiency in required quality procedures
- Perform production duties (e.g., assembling, packing, inspecting, or labeling) as assigned during high-demand periods
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Production Supervisor
Qualifications
- Eagerness to learn quality control and production principles
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to receive feedback and continuously improve
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and handle at least 20 pounds repeatedly and up to 45 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include hot or cold conditions
- Ability to wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
