QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN- STRUCTURAL
This role ensures all structural and architectural precast concrete products meet PCI, company, and project specifications prior to shipment. The Quality Technician works closely with production and quality teams to identify issues, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule
Multiple shifts available:
- 1st Shift: 10 am - 8:30 pm
- 3rd Shift: 7 pm - 5:30 pm OR 3 pm - 1:30 am

Responsibilities
- Perform pre-pour, post-pour, and final inspections on precast concrete products
- Identify and report non-conforming materials, equipment, or test results to QC leadership
- Ensure products meet PCI, company, and project specifications prior to shipment
- Maintain accurate quality control documentation in compliance with required standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, and project specifications
- Use testing tools and equipment such as slump cones, air meters, scales, ovens, and sieves
- Conduct accurate measurements using tape measures and other precision tools
- Perform basic material testing and analysis to support quality assurance processes
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following all safety procedures
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and QC teams to resolve quality issues
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and safety-focused individual with a strong interest in quality control and precast manufacturing. They are dependable, precise, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where accuracy and consistency are critical.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience in construction, concrete production, precast concrete, ready-mix operations, oilfield services, or similar hands-on industrial environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to use measuring and testing tools accurately
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
- Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures
- ACI or PCI certification (preferred)
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
- Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location)
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required
