What You Will Be Doing
As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and verifying production processes to ensure compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
Schedule
11am-7:30pm – Due to the nature of our product, a part-time or seasonal schedule variance may be required during off-peak season.
Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Sampling, testing and recording product test results
- Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained
- Data Entry, downloading temp tales, tracking and interpretation
- Following QC Hold Procedures for out of specification products
- Must possess the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's)
- Support to maintain 6-S
- Equipment calibration and troubleshooting
- Perform environmental swabs
- Participate in driving continuous improvement
- Must notify lead or coordinator and manager with on any issue associated with production
- Monitor CCP records and frequencies
- Assist QA Manager and QA Coordinator in customer complaints investigations
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures including training relating to GMP's, Food Safety and regulatory compliance
- Complete Audits pertaining to Food Safety
- Documents Review
- Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency
- Demonstrate ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance
- Ensure Albertsons Companies policies, procedures, and workplace safety is adhered to
- Verify sanitation effectiveness programs directed by Quality Management
- Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Albertsons Companies quality standards and ensure that the products are within specification
- Maintain inventory on laboratory supplies
- Must follow current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Sanitation Practices, Food Safety and Occupational Safety
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience in quality assurance, food safety, or a related field in a food manufacturing environment
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or related science) (Preferred not required) or equivalent work experience
- HACCP certified, SQF Practitioner (Preferred not required)
- Knowledge of Microbiological, Physical, Chemical and Organoleptic Testing
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good oral/written communication skills
- Good time Management and customer service oriented
- Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision
- Proficient in window-based PC and iPad programs
- Lab Test Equipment/Maintenance (Preferred not required)
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
