Quality Control Technician

Essential Position Functions

• Inspect assigned work locations for compliance with client or company specifications and guidelines.
• Inspections may include but are not limited to work safety, installation, and troubleshooting compliance.
• Use appropriate testing equipment based upon client specifications.
• Assist in preparing and developing inspection instructions and procedures.
• Create project specific checklists and standards.
• Record and document inspection results and findings in applicable data sheets and forms.
• Complete and submit inspection documentation to the appropriate supervisory personnel.
• Ensure completion of inspections in a timely manner and track/report activities and metrics.
• Drive safely to work sites and comply with all company/client safety standards.
• Follow company/client standards by using related technical documentation.
• Deliver feedback and supplemental training to employees/contractors as required.

Additional Expectations

• Construction work is project-driven and may vary in availability based on client demand and workload.
• When role-specific assignments are not available, employees may be required to perform other related duties within the construction or telecommunications field. These duties may include, but are not limited to, ground support, site preparation, equipment maintenance, warehouse support, or assisting with other company projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant inspection experience from the telecommunications, construction, or utilities industries are required.
• Proficiency with a Windows and Android operating systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is required.
• The ability to read blueprints and other technical documentation is necessary.
• Experience with a major MSO or Telecom Operator is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
• The ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner is essential.
• Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills are needed.
• The ability to work alone and with a team is necessary.
• The ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check is required.

Physical Demands

• Frequent walking, standing, and sitting within the work area.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds less than one-third of the time.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Effective communication with employees, management, peers, et al.
• Ability to work in extreme hot/cold environments for lengthy periods of time.

Work Environment

• Travel up to 100% is required.
• The ability to work in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions is necessary.
• The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
• This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others daily.
• Frequent use of a computer is necessary.
• This position requires use of all general office equipment.
