Quality Control Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall quality control (QC) of the project.
• Aid in implementing the Project QA/QC Program and monitor for compliance.
• Review and comprehend contract specifications, scope of work, and exclusions outlined in the contract and related industry standards.
• Conduct inspections of workmanship and materials.
• Administer the overall quality and assurance program.
• Handle all quality assurance and control matters for the Company.
• File reports and photo documentation.
• Attend contractor QA/QC meetings and monitor issues and concerns noted in the meeting minutes.
• Operate with 100% integrity and professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• One to three years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably in dam, reservoir, landfill, wastewater treatment plants required.
• Experience and knowledge of Army Corps of Engineers projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Strong oral, consultative, and written communication skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to establish trust and interface effectively with Owners and Customers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
