Quality Control Technician

About the role

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Quality Control Technician based out of our Clarksville, TN Quarry to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our materials in our East Region.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety
• Sample and conduct tests on aggregates to ensure compliance with State, local and customer specifications
• Maintain a database in addition to testing, document and report information
• Promptly and accurately complete testing and report findings to your supervisor
• Routinely monitor stockpiles for segregation and contamination
• Perform daily inspections of the lab and equipment and maintenance as necessary
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• May be required to travel to other sites
• May be required to perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• A positive attitude
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Self-motivated, positively works independently, and eager to participate with being part of a team setting
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite and relevant software packages
• Experience in aggregate testing and PennDOT certified
• Can lift up to 80 pounds
• Valid driver license
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Skills

• Basic math skills for accuracy

Schedule

While most areas have air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
