Quality Control Technician-2nd shift

Essential Functions

• Taking of paint temperature
• Titrations
• Making measurements of film thickness
• Testing inter-coat adhesion
• Paint hardness testing
• Color inspection
• Conducting inspections using measurement tools and testing equipment
• Identifying defects and documenting findings in detailed reports or digital quality management systems
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to meet customer expectations

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse OR military environment
• Completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial
• Basic computer knowledge
• Basic math skills
• Proficiency in navigating and using a computer
• Following instructions
• Adherence to required reporting of relevant laboratory data
• Attention to detail and precision
• Proficiency in and maintenance of inspection tools and laboratory equipment
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
• Experience using machinery

Physical Requirements

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
• Work for up to 6-8 hours at a time
• Walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift
• Handle equipment safely
