About the role

Buckland is a customer-focused company that combines trusted technologies and talented people to simplify the complex world of Customs and Logistics. This position is part of the Operations team and reports to the Team Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers in acquiring the proper import documentation.
  • Review Certificates of Origin and other documentation to confirm eligibility to Free Trade programs.
  • Analyze and update PGA records in entries and database with knowledge of PGA reporting requirements.
  • Audit assigned files to ensure accuracy and instructions are followed.
  • Maintain of client database.
  • Assist team leader in training of team members as assigned.
  • Service clients and reporting of any issues to Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • Ensure all shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations.
  • Support as required in all Departmental Operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in US Customs brokerage.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control.
  • Basic knowledge of HTS classification.
  • Intermediate MS Office knowledge.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
  • Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movement.
  • Occasionally must carry/lift loads of up to 15 lbs.
