Quality Control Specialist

About the role

Join Garver’s Federal Team as a Quality Control Specialist to oversee the Total Quality Management Program, ensuring architecture and engineering deliverables—including detailed design plans, specifications, and reports—meet and exceed client expectations and regulatory requirements for site and building projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate multi-discipline Quality Control Reviews.
• Participate in the review of civil-related portions of:
  • Project Plans
  • Project specifications
  • Design Reports
• Assist with review of civil-related construction submittals.
• Join design progress meetings for select projects.
• Ensure appropriate quality control procedures are followed.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with project contract requirements.
• Occasional travel for industry-related conferences or project-specific meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 20+ years of site/civil project experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and resolve issues through close interaction with project team members.
• Some travel may be required with occasional overnight stays.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with USACE and other DoD-type projects.
• Background in construction observation and/or submittal reviews for site/civil-related projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
