Key Responsibilities
- Inspect pedestal components at various manufacturing stages for defects and deviations from specifications and CAD drawings through visual inspection and measurement tools.
- Perform alignments and inspections using CMM equipment and Verisurf software.
- Document inspection results and ensure proper record-keeping of quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with fabricators to ensure critical dimension standards are met.
- Identify and tag non-conforming products; Record non-conformances and work to prevent future issues.
- Lead quality control improvement projects and support process enhancements.
- Maintain all controlled documents accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a QC Inspector
- Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, tapes, gauges) and the ability to take precise measurements in metric and imperial systems.
- Experience working with Coordinate Measuring Machines (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of inspection methods and proven proficiency in handling Quality Control inspections.
- Able to read and interpret CAD drawings including basic GD&T symbols.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective communication, attention to detail and time management skills.
- ISO Certifications (Preferred)
Work Environment
- Physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced shop floor environment.
- PPE required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves, provided by the company.
