Quality Control Site Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Maintains high level of professionalism and carries out a policy of courtesy and superior customer service.
• Exercises tact, good manners and diplomacy.
• Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders.
• Maintains construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information.
• Supervises the coordination and input as needed with the contractors providing services and infrastructure.
• Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitors, controls performance, and ensures quality workmanship.
• Schedules and conducts required Pre-Construction Contractor Quality Control (CQC) and safety meetings with every individual on the jobsite.
• Communicates progress of projects to the Project Manager and ensures deadlines are met.
• Reviews change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions and other contract documentation as required.
• Reviews and approves subcontractor payment requests and forward them to the Project Manager for approval.
• Attends local meetings, approval meetings, conferences.
• Documents and takes action on items in our client’s interests.
• Ensures safe, secure, and healthy work environment is maintained by following and enforcing standards and procedures to comply with legal regulations and OSHA standards.
• Evaluates construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtains approvals from customers.
• Affords assistance in the review and approval of subcontractor payment requests.
• Attends required meetings and conferences.
• Completes continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, college degree preferred but not required.
• Government contracting experience preferred but not required.
• At least five years work experience in management and project development and implementation of Design-Build construction.
• Strong background in the management of large commercial construction projects.
• Able to demonstrate their ability to manage a multi million-dollar project portfolio and a team made up of Project Managers, Design Engineers, Estimators, Contract Administrators, Administrative staff, Field Installers, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• A thorough knowledge of all construction related trades.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and R.S. Means.
• Microsoft Power Point experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• First Aid/CPR, OSHA 30.
