Quality Control Manager- Federal Construction- Traveling
Description
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) will report into the Project Leadership team and be responsible for ensuring all project quality standards are met across federal construction projects. Lead and manage the Quality Control program in accordance with federal and project-specific requirements.
Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 safety standards and all contractual quality specifications.
Conduct inspections, testing coordination, and documentation to ensure work meets contract requirements.
Manage submittals, RFIs, and quality-related documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as the primary liaison with government representatives on all quality-related matters.
Support project teams in maintaining schedule and resolving quality issues proactively.
Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across site teams.
Profile
- Proven experience as a QCM on federal construction projects, ideally in the $30M-$60M+ range
- Strong background working for a general contractor on government or military base projects
- EM 385-1-1 certification and Quality Control Management (QCM) certification required
- U.S. Citizenship is essential due to project requirements
- Strong understanding of federal construction standards, documentation, and compliance processes
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, travel-based project environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
