Quality Control Manager
Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality control plan and overseeing the quality control for the project. The QCM will ensure each construction project meets the meticulous standards of excellence that Richard Group embodies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the construction sections of the project quality control plan (including the three phases of quality control) in compliance with Federal, DoD, and Navy requirements.
- Direct and approve the correction of any non-conforming or unsafe construction work performed under the contract.
- Maintain relationships with owners, clients, and subcontractors.
- Plan and organize quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, incident reports and corrective actions.
- Direct inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, RFI logs, and submittal logs.
- Ensure timely and safe completion of projects in accordance with safety goals, while adhering to contract documents and project budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience with a federal general contracting company
- CQCM certified and has administered the three phases of quality control on multiple projects.
- A thorough understanding of construction materials, means, methods, and building systems.
- Experience in federal sector projects.
- Experience in healthcare projects.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
- Ability to write and comprehend RFIs.
- Ability to clearly communicate to home office, Owner, and Subcontractors.
- Availability to work on any shift—1st, 2nd, or 3rd—as hospital construction occurs at all hours.
- Experience in Davis-Bacon Prevailing wage-required projects.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and a drug test.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
- Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs
- OSHA 30 Certified
- Experience managing projects $20MM+

Schedule
Richard Group offers a full-time benefits eligible position with a schedule that requires reporting to a project site five days a week. Candidates must live within proximity of the project location or the surrounding areas. Richard Group offers a housing allowance to cover the cost of living if a candidate must relocate. Our projects typically range from 1 – 3 years in length.
