Quality Control Lead

About the role

The Quality Control Lead will lead a team of quality control technicians and inspectors in a hands-on capacity, overseeing day-to-day duties and serving as the point of contact for outside agencies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates samples of incoming materials
• Assists with and performs pre and post pour measurement checks on precast parts
• Inspects cages, forms, and parts during and after production
• Uses cylinder break machine to test samples
• Distributes reports and tests as necessary
• Uses hand measurement tools including calipers and dial gauges
• Performs quality control checks and pulls samples from the production floor
• Ensures Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors follow standards and escalate issues when necessary
• Coordinates with outside agencies to maintain Quality Control transparency and meet expectations
• Other duties related to the role may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Vocational training, certification, or related experience
• At least 1 year of related experience (preferred)
• Completed Quality Control training: NPCA PQS1, ACI CFTT grade 1, and ACI CSTT
• Ability to read, understand, and explain Quality Control manuals and training packages
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Teams, Krinkle, Command Batch, and SmartSheet
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. independently or request assistance for heavier loads (up to 80 lbs.)
