About the role
The Quality Control Lead will lead a team of quality control technicians and inspectors in a hands-on capacity, overseeing day-to-day duties and serving as the point of contact for outside agencies.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates samples of incoming materials
- Assists with and performs pre and post pour measurement checks on precast parts
- Inspects cages, forms, and parts during and after production
- Uses cylinder break machine to test samples
- Distributes reports and tests as necessary
- Uses hand measurement tools including calipers and dial gauges
- Performs quality control checks and pulls samples from the production floor
- Ensures Quality Control Technicians and Inspectors follow standards and escalate issues when necessary
- Coordinates with outside agencies to maintain Quality Control transparency and meet expectations
- Other duties related to the role may be assigned as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Vocational training, certification, or related experience
- At least 1 year of related experience (preferred)
- Completed Quality Control training: NPCA PQS1, ACI CFTT grade 1, and ACI CSTT
- Ability to read, understand, and explain Quality Control manuals and training packages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, Teams, Krinkle, Command Batch, and SmartSheet
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. independently or request assistance for heavier loads (up to 80 lbs.)
