Quality Control Lab Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous individual to join our team in Clinton, Iowa. This role involves performing routine analytical chemistry tests to ensure the highest quality of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine quality control testing and recordkeeping in a safe, accurate, and orderly manner.
  • Perform various wet chemical and instrumental analyses of samples for process control and final quality control inspection.
  • Ensure the accuracy of finished product analysis and communicate results, problems, and priorities to supervisors and production departments in a timely manner.
  • Participate actively in training efforts and safety initiatives.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areas.
  • Maintain routine supplies in work area on each shift worked.
  • All other duties as directed and appropriate for the purposes of the site.

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage.
  • Attention to detail, following procedures, proper analytical technique, and computer entry.
  • Good judgment in reporting errors, unusual conditions, or events to supervision.
  • Ability to follow complicated technical instructions and use mathematics.
  • Flexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to relocate equipment and supplies, walk long distances, stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree in science or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Strong science background and previous experience with analytical testing.

Skills

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practices (GMP/GLP).
  • Understanding of wet chemistry techniques and experience with lab instrumentation.
  • Strong computer skills, including accurate data entry and proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Pay

$21/hour

Schedule

Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off.
