Quality Control Lab Technician

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in inspection and testing of all finished products and raw material to ensure they meet Atlas quality
• Keep all manufacturing specifications, test results on complaints, UL material and new product information confidential
• Check material for Monitor product Test facer material using approved test methods and precision equipment to ensure that no defective material reaches the customer
• Keep reports and records on all tests
• Keep daily logbook on
• Keep all testing equipment clean and in good working condition
• Maintain a clean lab and maintain good working relationships with production supervisors
• Work with supervisors in solving problems resulting in defective products

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or GED is required
• Two years of experience in roofing or coated glass facer manufacturing is preferred

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong PC literacy with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and retain detailed customer and product information
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to effectively manage changes in customer orders and communicate updates to production as needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas
• Experience entering, manipulating, and retrieving data from systems with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse personnel and customers
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
